A clear, cold and windy winters day was on show at Bonnie Doon Golf Club as 23 Master Builder Golfers assembled for our June game and long awaited return to this course.

Gale force westerly winds were unrelenting and they made this difficult track even more challenging.

Being on a sand base, the draining is fantastic and after many months of golf balls being plugged in mud, it was great to see the ball bounce and run to give some value for good shots.

Controlling the ball in the wind was a real test and once on the green the fun started. The greens were slick and undulating making a three putt a good result.

Nobody played to their handicap and the daily difficulty rating of 3 shots was way off the mark. Still, we play all courses in all conditions and this game was one to remember.
