Captain’s Report – Concord Golf Course 4th of December 2023
How fast 2023 has flown to be back at the majestic Concord Golf club for another end of year game.
We lined up with 27 golfers for the challenge of playing this manicured course on a perfect Sydney summers day, a somewhat normal end to this year after the past few years being interrupted by inclement weather and of course covid.
The stage was set for a great end to the year with the stately club house and beautiful gardens forming a classic entrance to this challenging course.
As usual concord gives nothing away in the way of golf scoring with only 5 of our group playing to there handicap of better, with the average score being around 31 points.
The fairways were immaculate and the greens were true , although fine aeration holes were evident on most holes, special mention to our two super seniors, Rod and Lynn who both performed exceptionally well and look to have recovered from the injuries of earlier this year.
The annual AGM took place after dinner and the committee remains the same for the coming year.

Once again the concord club looked after us with a delightful dinner and all in attendance enjoyed the Christmas cheer.
