The weather was so perfect for our game at Macquarie links you could be mistaken for thinking it was a Sydney spring day rather than the first day of August and still winter. Such is our new climate.

We had 26 players along for this game including a few welcome visitors, all in carts and ready for our noon shotgun start.

The course is, as ever, an interesting and challenging layout but over recent times the luster of the playing Macquarie has dimmed slightly due to lack of maintenance. The greens were a little damaged in places and a little slower than they looked.

All in all it was an enjoyable day out in the great weather followed by a buffet dinner in the clubhouse.
