Captain’s Report – St. Michaels 2019

After weeks of windy weather in Sydney, it was great to turn up to St. Michaels with hardly a breath of breeze at noon.

The field of 26 were ready to take advantage of the conditions with all hopes high.

During the round, the north easterly did indeed spring up and was just strong enough to cause some havoc.

As always the course was in great condition, although the recently cored greens will be much better in a week or so.

Good to see a few new members and some welcome visitors along for the day, and with only 4 players shooting 36 points or more, St. Michaels is a real test for all.

Many players having trouble keeping count of their lost balls. The pink ball comp proved popular, with most saying goodbye to it early on. The best team in keeping it was Tim Hooper, Alan Scully and new boy Henry Tran. Well done to them!

A fine dinner followed the game in full view of one of the classic coastal golf vistas.
