We experimented with something different for this game and It seemed to be acceptable to all who attended.

Our first ever morning game was held on a glorious spring day at this great golf course.

We had a good roll up with 31 players attending, although Hillary missed the first 6 holes as he forgot it was a morning game.

The course was excellent as their club championships begin this Saturday, immaculate fairways and greens as fast and true as ever.

Conditions were perfect for golf and many were glad to finish by noon as the temperature was rising.

One highlight was our 90 year old veteran who happened to be my partner, Lynn Astley, managed a birdie and a par on his final two holes (9 points) to reach 35 points and beat me on a countback. Fortunately we were paired in the twoball and won that by seven shots from Sam Jooste and Chris Baily.

The next best individual was Barry Morcom on 34 points and Laurie Dapice with 33 points.

Nearest the pins were collected by Ray Furfaro and Danny Rothwell.

This was the final round of the year long Road to Concord Competition and I am happy to announce the top four players who will play of at our last game of 2025.

Congratulations to Barry Morcom, Peter Shields, Sam Jooste and myself who will compete for the $2,000.00 pot.

Once again Ryde Parramatta was a success and the morning start was well received, and may be revisited on occasions as the committee sees fit.

Looking forward to a big final game roll up at Concord on Monday the 1st of December which will be an afternoon game followed by dinner.
